Kid Safe Spaces
San Francisco needs more Kid Safe spaces. If it’s safe for kids, it’s safe for everyone. Since 2021, we’ve achieved three new permanent public spaces.
JFK Promenade.
JFK Promenade is a safe and lively space for kids and people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, and the origin of our movement.
Great Highway Park.
Great Highway Park is a paradise for kids learning to ride scooters and bikes, and people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds wanting to enjoy the outdoors and fresh ocean air.
Slow Streets.
Slow Streets provide kids and people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds safe spaces to play, walk, recreate, build community, and connect with neighbors and local businesses.
Who are we?
We are parents, families, walkers, stroller-users, runners, skaters, seniors, people with disabilities, and users of active transportation who believe that San Francisco needs more Kid Safe spaces and that everyone should have Kid Safe spaces nearby and accessible to them.
