11 Days Until the JFK Vote!

As the JFK Promenade nears its two-year anniversary, we are now less than two weeks away from a final vote on its fate as a permanent car-free space in Golden Gate Park. We’ve experienced nearly two years of joy, community, and peace in our city’s premier park, and we can’t go back.

On April 26, the Board will vote on the Mayor’s legislation to implement city agencies’ thorough proposal for car-free JFK with accessibility and equity improvements. But last week, Supervisor Connie Chan introduced her own competing ordinance that would put cars back on JFK.

Now we need every single person who loves the Promenade to show your love for this special space. Tell your friends, neighbors, and family that now is the time to act.

Right now, we’re thanking Supervisors Mandelman, Haney, and Preston for cosponsoring Mayor London Breed’s ordinance. The newest supervisor to express support for a fully car-free Promenade is Myrna Melgar, from District 7, who told the San Francisco Chronicle last week that she wants to preserve car-free JFK

But we need 6 votes. And to get there we need everyone’s help.

How you can help to win!
