How to make Public Comment on JFK at the 4/26 Board of Supervisors Meeting
On Tuesday, April 26, the Board of Supervisors will be hearing the Mayor’s legislation to keep JFK permanently closed to cars and officially establish the JFK Promenade in Golden Gate Park. We need everyone to call in and show the ❤️ for the JFK Promenade!
The board will be taking public comment. Here are instructions on how to comment, and talking points to pull from to guide your comments.

11 Days Until the JFK Vote!
As the JFK Promenade nears its two-year anniversary, we are now less than two weeks away from a final vote on its fate as a permanent car-free space in Golden Gate Park. We’ve experienced nearly two years of joy, community, and peace in our city’s premier park, and we can’t go back.
On April 26, the Board will vote on the Mayor’s legislation to implement city agencies’ thorough proposal for car-free JFK with accessibility and equity improvements. But last week, Supervisor Connie Chan introduced her own competing ordinance that would put cars back on JFK.

Practical solutions for an accessible and inclusive Golden Gate Park for all
While the misinformation campaign to undermine the Kid Safe JFK Promenade heats up, it is easy to forget that there are practical, readily available solutions to the concerns raised about access and equity, many of which are already being implemented.
KidSafe SF has written a policy brief containing recommendations for practical solutions to improving access, equity, and the park experience for all visitors, while also preserving and enhancing Golden Gate Park’s most popular new amenity and destination.

Fact check: the de Young Museum lobbyists’ JFK disinformation campaign
Last week, the de Young Museum’s lobbyists launched yet another misleading public campaign about the future of the JFK promenade in Golden Gate Park. It’s full of misinformation and falsehoods, and attempts to do one thing: put cars back on JFK at all costs.
